A Stunning Summer Wedding at Woodhill Hall with Soft Pastels and Endless Florals

KOREN + JOSH

“Ray is perhaps the best find of our entire wedding. He fitted in like one of the guests with a fantastic sense of humour and such a beautiful attention to detail. The photos are incredible showing each emotion of the whole day – even the questionable dance moves at night. Thank you Ray for making it so perfect – the BEST UK wedding photographer hands down."

Koren and Josh’s wedding at Woodhill Hall was one of those days where everything just came together.

Woodhill always photographs beautifully, the food is brilliant, the staff are lovely, and the venue has so much character, but when the sunshine hits the way it did on this day, it really does feel special. There was a warmth to the whole wedding, both in the weather and in the atmosphere.

Koren looked incredible. Her dress from Blue Bow Bridal had the most beautiful sleeves, and I’ve definitely realised over the past couple of years that I’m a sucker for sleeves. Elegant, timeless, and with just enough detail to feel really distinctive. Josh looked brilliant too, and together they had such a strong, stylish presence throughout the day.

The styling was a real highlight.

The tables, florals, candles and colour palette all worked beautifully together, with soft pastel tones, coordinated napkins and thoughtful details that made the room feel full of personality. It all sat perfectly inside Woodhill Hall’s newly extended Orangery, which looked fantastic. The extra space has made such a difference, and with all that natural light pouring in, it was a dream to photograph.

It was also lovely to see Cheryl from Wishbone Weddings, who brought along Poirot, the family dog, which is always a win. A wedding dog instantly improves the day, no question.

There were plenty of familiar industry faces too, with Matt Case and Wayne bringing the sax energy, Claire Alexandra on hair, Tara Shenton on makeup, and Gareth travelling up from Cheshire to capture the day on Super 8 film. There’s something about the sound of Super 8 rolling that just feels brilliant.

The ceremony in the Olive House was beautiful, followed by a proper confetti moment, a relaxed drinks reception, loads of natural candid moments, and later, some absolutely questionable but highly committed dance floor moves.

One of the biggest highlights of the day was the surprise film created by Koren’s sister and dad. They went all in. Full production value, drone footage, news reporter scenes, a drawn-on beard, celebrity messages, the lot. It was funny, personal, and completely unforgettable. The kind of thing that only works when people really commit to the idea, and they absolutely did.

Koren and Josh’s wedding had style, humour, sunshine, emotion and a dance floor that delivered.

Below are some of my favourite moments from their Woodhill Hall wedding.
