Hey Guys, i'm Ray
I live in a small town called Chilton in Durham with my awesome wife Bee and two kids; Elodie and Tobias.
In a past life I worked In education; IT Support specifically and also In Graphic Design and Web. So alot of technical and creative skills smashed together and wham you get a wedding photographer, or something like that. In all seriousness having lots of skills from previous careers really helps a lot with being a photographer!
From 2015-2017 I dabbled with a handful of weddings to dip my toe and liked it enough to make the decision to close down my graphics, web, taekwondo and fitness businesses and risk it all on wedding photography. Needless to say the gamble paid off as I booked 38 weddings for 2018 – My first full year as a Professional Wedding Photographer.
I held on tight and flew by the seat of my pants. Its been a hell of a ride and love It every day. Since 2015 I have now won 150+ awards and garnered a great reputation In the wedding Industry!
Anyway on to some random stuff: Big Darts fan, I play all the time in my office and watch a lot of darts haha. Guilty pleasure for musicals; Les Misérables, Phantom of the opera, wicked to name but a few. Love a good TV Series, 24, Suits, Dexter are some of my favs. Films are a staple for me too – Love anything by Christopher Nolan, Steven Spielberg or Zach Snyder.
19 Crimes is my favourite red of choice for the wino’s out there and you can’t beat a good cup of Sumatra coffee from Whittards. Love me some coffee!

So I’ve been on Britain’s Got Talent; actually reached the top 150 In 2008, Guinness World Records: Smashed and a boat load of other appearances In the past as part of my Taekwondo career; I’m a 3rd Dan Black Belt, which a-lot of people don’t know. I left the world of Taekwondo when I started Wedding Photography, knowing I just wouldnt have time for It, I was also ready to step back after almost 17 Years of learning and coaching.
It’s crazy to me that I have now photographed over 350 weddings all over the UK and even in Europe. I love to travel around our beautiful country for weddings, coffee on the dash, podcasts and open road, love it. I regularly work all over Newcastle, Northumberland, The Lake District as well as shooting weddings In The Cotswolds, Manchester, York, Edinburgh, The Midlands, London and many more.
