Formal Military Elegance and Stately Architecture at Wynyard Hall

REBECCA + SEB

"Simply put - Ray is fantastic. His approach was second to none throughout the build up and during the day, resulting in some amazing images that friends and family adore. He went down an absolute storm with the wedding guests too - they couldn't believe he was there from the very early morning to very nearly being the last man on the dancefloor! 100% recommend - if you want great images from your special day - get Ray booked!"

Rebecca and Seb’s wedding at Wynyard Hall was one I’d been looking forward to for a long time.

With Seb in the military, the first part of the day had a real sense of occasion. Military dress always brings a certain presence to a wedding, the uniforms, swords, medals and formality all adding to the atmosphere in a way that feels incredibly striking on camera.

As the day unfolded, Rebecca and Seb changed into a more relaxed evening look, moving from military dress into black tie. Seb wore a beautifully tailored blue black tie outfit from Clement and Church, finished with custom slippers from Crockett and Jones. It had a proper GQ feel to it, polished, stylish, and a complete contrast to the structure of the morning.

Rebecca looked incredible in her Pronovias gown and Jimmy Choo shoes from Bridal Rogue Gallery. Pronovias always has such an elegant shape, and Rebecca carried it beautifully.

Together, they looked completely at home in the grandeur of Wynyard Hall.

The library was one of my favourite spaces to photograph in. It has that rich, regal atmosphere that suits Wynyard so well, and it worked perfectly for both the group photographs and a few portraits of Rebecca and Seb. With the historic portraits on the walls and the military details in the room, everything felt connected, considered and full of character.

It was also great to work alongside Mitch from A Little Less Salt on video, capturing the day from another perspective. The evening had a brilliant energy, with Strictly Smokin’ Band bringing the live music and Anth from Persona Events keeping the dance floor moving between sets.

And the dance floor did not disappoint.

One of my favourite images from the evening is still one of the military lads fully committing to a Michael Jackson-style moonwalk, complete with the finishing move. A moment that pretty much sums up why I love staying late, the formalities are done, the ties loosen, and the real chaos begins.

Rebecca and Seb, thank you so much for having me along for such a brilliant day.

Below are a few of my favourite moments from their Wynyard Hall wedding.
